King’s College London is situated on the Strand in central London. The nearest underground (metro) stations are Temple, Holborn, and Charing Cross.

Arriving from Abroad

Most visitors from abroad will arrive at either Heathrow or Gatwick Airport. These airports are some distance outside of London. Heathrow is served by the Heathrow Express, which will take you to London Paddington station and the (much cheaper) Piccadilly Line.

Trains run regularly from Gatwick. You can take either the express service or the stopping service into London Victoria station.

Travel within London

There is an extensive metro, bus, train, and, appropriately for Melvilleans, boat transport system in London. The best bet for your stay is to purchase an Oyster card (from a station or a licensed seller) and load it with credit. This card will allow you to use any transport within the Greater London area.
